Is Asda doing eye tests?

How do I know if I’m entitled to free eye test?
You’re entitled to a free NHS sight test if you:
- are under 16.
- are 16, 17 or 18 and in full-time education.
- are 60 or over.
- are registered as partially sighted or blind.
- have been diagnosed with diabetes or glaucoma.
- are 40 or over and your mother, father, sibling or child has been diagnosed with glaucoma.
Do Asda still have opticians?

Can my optician refuse to give me my prescription?
An optician is obliged to provide you with the written prescription following the eye examination. By law, the prescription must provide the basic results of the eye examination.
How much is a Specsavers contact lens check?
Answer: The cost of a Specsavers eye test varies, but it’s around £20-25. When you book an eye test, you can also book an additional Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) test. In most stores, the cost of our hospital-grade OCT appointments is just £10 but in some Scottish stores this may vary.
Can you go to GP for eye problems?
Optometrists are highly trained to recognise abnormalities and conditions that could be causing your eye problems. They will prescribe and fit glasses and contact lenses, and, if necessary, they will refer you to a GP or a hospital eye clinic for further investigations.
How often can I have a free eye test?
Am I entitled to free eye tests? Everyone aged 60 and over can receive a free eye test every two years. You’ll get a free annual sight test at any age if you have a close family member who has been diagnosed with glaucoma or you’ve been advised by an ophthalmologist that you are at risk of glaucoma.
Do Asda opticians accept NHS vouchers?
