Why was Wetherby races abandoned today?

Unfortunately, after a further 12mm rain between 3.15pm & 5.15pm, following the 1st race there are areas of standing water & waterlogging on the course & the race meeting has had to be been abandoned on safety grounds. We apologise for any inconvenience that this has caused.
