How much percentage is required for CPT exam?
Every incorrect answer on the CPT exam carries a 0.25 negative mark. A candidate is required to secure a minimum of 30 per cent marks in each Section and a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate, in all the four Sections to pass the Common Proficiency Test.
What is the pass mark for CA CPT?
No Pass Certificate as such is issued to CPT pass students. A candidate securing 70% and above marks is declared to have passed with Distinction. A candidate securing a minimum of 60% marks in order of merit up to 10th Rank are included in the Merit List and Merit Certificate to such candidates are also issued.

However, there is no upper age limit for taking admission in Chartered Accountancy course or clearing it. If you are academically qualified for it, you can become a CA at any age. *10 attempts to clear the CA Finals (initial registration is valid for five years, after which you can re-validate it for five more years).
Is CPT a MCQ?
The name of CPT has been changed to Foundation Course. Therefore, as per the new syllabus of CPT, it is partially MCQ and partially descriptive.
