The Sinfonian Goes Green in 1968
There isn't much in Sinfonia's archives that would be considered green, so we got the next best thing. The May 1968 issue of The Sinfonian was a green issue. . . literally. Not so much that it environmentally-friendly, but it was on green paper and used green ink.
Some of the featured content of this issue included:
An announcement of the 300th charter granted to the Sigma Omega Chapter at the University of Texas-Arlington. (The chapter went inactive in the early 2000s and is currently working to reactivate.) |
Announcements of honorary membership of jazz trumpeter Clark Terry, Beta Zeta (Emporia) '68-Hon. and jazz trombonist Buddy Morrow, Rho Tau (Appalachian State) '68-Hon. |
