Marcus Baum (Mu Psi, Central Florida)

Marcus graduated from the University of Central Florida in May of 2009 with a BA in Psychology. As an active brother of the Mu Psi Chapter, Marcus served as Commander, Marshal and Social Chairman.  In 2008, during his term as Commander, the Mu Psi Chapter was honored with the recognition of Rock Chapter in their first year of eligibility.  Along with another chapter brother, Marcus created a scholarship award to send two additional brothers to the College of Chapters in an effort to ensure the future development of leaders in Sigma Nu and the Mu Psi Chapter. Additionally, during this past year, Marcus was appointed to the High Council as a Collegiate Grand Councilman. In the spring of 2009, Marcus was voted by his chapter as the Mu Psi Brother of the Year and awarded by the University of Central Florida with the Greek-Lifetime Achievement Award, honoring the most outstanding graduating senior in Greek-Life.

Outside of his chapter, Marcus was involved as a member of the IFC Judicial Board. Marcus also worked closely with student and campus leaders within his position at the Office of Student Conduct.    

Marcus is known by his peers as reliable and trustworthy with a strong passion to encourage and support people in achieving their goals and commitments. In his free time, Marcus enjoys supporting UCF athletics, playing guitar, photography, spending time with friends and family and following college basketball.

Alex Combs (Theta Theta, Eastern Kentucky)

Alex Combs joined the Headquarters staff in June 2009 as a Consultant.  An honors graduate from Eastern Kentucky University, Alex holds a degree in Political Science and Philosophy. Alex is a proud initiate of the Theta Theta chapter, where he served as Commander, Marshal, Risk Reduction Chairman and Bylaw Revision Chairman. He was voted Man of the Year within his chapter and has received recognition from the Greek community. 

Outside of his chapter, Alex has been involved in numerous organizations. He served the Student Government as Student Body President and Student Regent. Alex was also involved in the Alumni Ambassador Program as Treasurer, the Honors Program, Hall Council, Judicial Affairs Council and was an Orientation Leader. Recognizing his service to EKU, Alex was recognized as an Outstanding Student Leader and Outstanding Scholar.  In his free time, Alex enjoys playing sports, hiking and watching movies. 

Alex plans to pursue his Master's in Public Administration with an emphasis in Higher Education Policy.

James J. Ehrmann (Beta Mu, Iowa) – Associate Director of Leadership Development

James joined staff in May 2007 as a leadership consultant for the Great Lakes region.  He currently serves as the Associate Director of Leadership Development, where his primary responsibilities include management of the Helping Hand Initiative, co-management of the Fraternity's educational initiatives--including the LEAD Program--and GreekLifeEdu, consulting and risk management follow-up.

James is a 2007 graduate from the University of Iowa with a BA in Political Science.  As a student, James served as President of the Interfraternity Council, Order of Omega Honor Society and Commander of the Beta Mu Chapter.  He was recognized as Greek Man of the year in 2006.

James was recently married to his college sweetheart Kelly in August 2009.  James' interests include lively political conversations, mediocre professional sports franchises and sports in which un-athletic men can enjoy success.  His ultimate goal is to work in higher education.

Tom Keller (Delta Chi, Trinity)

Tom, a recent graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, CT, joined the staff in June 2009 as a Consultant. Tom earned a BA, double majoring in Public Policy and Religion. While at Trinity, he was a four-year member of the Men's Rowing Team and was the 2008 recipient of the team's Torch Award, their highest honor. Tom served many roles in the Delta Chi chapter including Philanthropy Committee Chairman, LEAD Chairman, Chaplain and Marshal.

In his free time Tom enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, biking, swimming and shooting, and he is a huge sports fan. He is an avid Michigan Wolverines fan, except for their rowing team, which is a big rival with Trinity.

Tom plans to attend law school in the future or pursue a career in coaching collegiate athletics but is currently undecided between his two passions.

Returning Leadership Consultants

W. Brett Holt (Zeta Kappa, Fresno State)

Brett Holt joined the Headquarters Staff in June of 2008 as a Leadership Consultant.  He graduated from California State University, Fresno with a degree in Business.  He held multiple positions during his undergraduate experience in Sigma Nu including Commander, Treasurer, Marshal and LEAD Chairman.  Sigma Nu was a very important part of his life as an undergraduate, and it will continue to play a big role in his life through his post undergraduate years.

Brett loves the outdoors, sports, friends, family and Fraternity.  After his time on staff he intends to get his MBA and/or do something where he can make a difference and inspire change and growth.

Diego Silva (Eta Phi, Cal. State Los Angeles)

Diego Silva joined the Headquarters staff in the summer of 2008. He graduated from Cal State Los Angeles with a degree in Communication Studies – Public Relations. As an active member of the Eta Phi chapter, he served as Philanthropy Chairman, Chaplain, Social Chairman, Treasurer and Commander. He was involved in the CSULA Student Government where he served in various positions, including Vice President of Academic Governance and a member of the CSULA Speech and Debate team.

One day Diego hopes to serve as a Greek Advisor at a university where he can help a small and struggling Greek system grow. Aside from that, he plans to some day own his own business back home in Los Angeles.

Stephen L. Snitzky (Lambda Pi, Eastern Michigan)

Stephen graduated from Eastern Michigan University in December 2007, where he received a BS in Political Science and a minor in History. During his time with the Lambda Pi chapter, Stephen served as Recruitment Chairman, Risk Reduction Chairman and was responsible for preparing his chapter's Homecoming and Hayride. He was also heavily involved in other activities outside of Sigma Nu, including the University of Michigan Naval ROTC and New Student Orientation Program. Prior to graduation and before becoming a member of the Headquarters staff, Stephen worked in sales and management with General Nutrition Centers (GNC).

Stephen was born and raised in the Cleveland metropolitan area and was active in athletics and community service from an early age. He is a proud Eagle Scout and loves playing a pick-up game of baseball. Stephen is also a diehard Cleveland sports fan and enjoys hanging out with his friends and family in his free time.
