Sigma Nu Donor Gets Creative about Giving Back

Gordon Toedman (Kansas) has done a lot of international travel in his lifetime, both for business and for pleasure. His experiences impacted him so greatly that six years ago he devised a plan to offer a scholarship of sorts, one that would allow a brother from Nu Chapter to spend three weeks volunteering internationally each summer.

So far, he’s sponsored eight undergraduates to volunteer in Peru, Costa Rica, Tanzania, and Thailand. Each brother has returned from this life changing experience excited to share stories with the chapter and encourage others to go as well.

He Joined Thanks to LEAD; Now He Gives Back Too

Jeremy Wheeler (Minnesota) is enthusiastic about the LEAD program. He ought to be. He says it’s one of the reasons he chose Sigma Nu over the eight other fraternities at the University of Minnesota who were vying for him to join.

At every chapter he visited during recruitment Jeremy asked, "Why should I choose you over any other?" The answer from the Sigma Nus made all the difference. "It was the LEAD Program, a program that nobody else had," says Jeremy.
