Centennial Celebrations A Success

Our Centennial success would not have been possible without two key volunteers, Centennial Chairmen Howard Miller and David Phillips. Howard B. Miller, Maryland ‘58, was prior of his Sigma Chi chapter, and president of the U. of Maryland student body.  His father, Martin Miller, Illinois ‘30, was Supreme Exchequer.  Howard was elected Supreme Prior at 33, the youngest since ΣΑΜ's earliest days.  His principal Centennial assignment is the Foundation's 100th anniversary campaign for $5 million, of which $3.8 million has been raised.

David H. Phillips, Ohio State ‘83, was exchequer of his Sigma Beta chapter.  He has attended forty conventions, the first when he was 6, and he has missed only one.  He was elected Supreme Prior at

Pictures from all the events and brief descriptions of the gatherings are posted on http://www.sam.org/centennial/dinners.asp.
