Reminding Us What Matters As another academic year is about to come to a close, we pause to think about how far we've come and acknowledge the challenges ahead. With the circumstances in our nation, and specifically our state, looking vastly different than they did a year ago, the children of El Segundo are at the forefront of our minds. The ESEF stands for a better education for our children. We believe in creating an environment where young people can gain 21st Century skills that will enable them to make valuable contributions to their families, their employers, and society. Our schools and school district leaders have the difficult job of making tough decisions, now and for the future, about what can stay and what must go. The Foundation is faced with decisions too, but what we already know is that we're charged with protecting the rigor and excellence of the education offered to El Segundo children.
