Presidential Search Committee Named
Association Chair Shelley Potter '78 will represent The Association on the Presidential Search Committee announced July 16 by Morris E. Foster '65, chairman of The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents.
The 15-member search committee to select the next president of Texas A&M University consists of three regents, five faculty members, two student members and five other members representing various stakeholders from Texas A&M, The Texas A&M University System and the Aggie community. A&M Coach's Nights Continue
Texas A&M head football coach Mike Sherman is planning a great season for the Aggies and he wants to tell you all about it. Make plans to join Coach Sherman, The Association of Former Students and the 12th Man Foundation at a local A&M Club's Coach's Night. The series of six events began last week in San Antonio and continues through Aug. 1 in Houston. Each event includes not only Coach Sherman, but great dinners, silent auctions and lots of Aggie camaraderie. All proceeds support the Club's scholarship funds, so we hope to see you there. All Aggie Hullabaloo Set For
Oct. 2 In Arlington

The Association of Former Students and the 12th Man Foundation invite you to join them Oct. 2 for the All Aggie Hullabaloo at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. The All Aggie Hullabaloo runs 8-11 p.m. and includes a live concert featuring Roger Creager '93, presented by Bud Light. Cover is $10 for adults and $5 for children (children 36 inches or shorter can enter for free). Parking is free. Gates open for yell practice at 11:15 p.m., with free parking and free entry. On Oct. 3, come watch the Corps of Cadets march-in and then watch the Aggies BTHO of Arkansas in the first Southwest Classic. Click the headline for more information.

Distinguished Alumnus Award
Call For Nominations

The Distinguished Alumnus Award is the highest honor bestowed upon a former student of Texas A&M University. The award is jointly sponsored by The Association of Former Students and Texas A&M to recognize those former students who have made significant contributions to society and whose accomplishments and careers bring honor and distinction to Texas A&M and The Association of Former Students. For award criteria and a nomination form, as well as a list of previous recipients, click the headline. Nominations must be postmarked by Nov. 6.

New Aggie Ring Requirements
In compliance with Texas A&M University recognizing senior status at 90 hours, the Aggie Ring requirements for undergraduate and professional/veterinary students have changed to the following: 90 completed undergraduate cumulative hours, at least 45 completed undergraduate resident hours, and a 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA. To receive your Aggie Ring, you must not be on academic probation, suspension, dismissal, expulsion, or on honor violation probation from the University. Career Resources For Aggies
Former students looking for assistance with their job search have several resources available to them through the Aggie Network. The Association of Former Students provides funding to the Texas A&M Career Center to assist former students in career transition. Services include resume review and networking advice. In addition, our partners at AggieCareers.com provide resources designed specifically to connect former students with employers interested in hiring Aggies. Embark from New York City for this 10-day cruise through beautiful New England and Eastern Canada. The first port of call is Newport with tours of one of the many summer cottages dating back to the turn of the century. Next, visit charming Boston with its quaint Bar Harbor nestled close to Acadia National Park. Then it is on to Nova Scotia with visits to Halifax and Sydney. Explore Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island, Quebec City, Saguenay Fjord and more.

Jeff Dunham To Host First Yell
The 11th annual First Yell event is planned for 8 p.m. Sept. 4 in Reed Arena, with Jeff Dunham as the headliner. A ventriloquist and stand-up comedian, Dunham has set sales and TV ratings records, topped charts and performed before
consistently sold-out shows. Tickets are available to the public July 27. First Yell was initiated in 1999 by the yell leaders as a way to welcome all Aggies, current and former students, back to campus at the start of a new school year. It is planned for the weekend of the first home football game. This year, Texas A&M will line up against New Mexico at 6 p.m. Sept. 5.

Every Thursday this summer, head football coach Mike Sherman will release a new video in his "Experience the Spirit" series. Click the headline to watch the four already released, starting with the first about the Spirit of Aggieland.

Freshman Convocation
For The Class Of '13

Freshman Convocation is a ceremony that welcomes freshmen to Texas A&M's community of learners in a manner similar to the community's recognition of students' graduation at commencement. Set for 2:30 p.m. Aug. 30 in Reed Arena, Convocation both encourages freshmen and recognizes the impact they will make on the A&M campus and community. Prior to Convocation, the Class of 2013 and their families are invited to lunch 10:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Aug. 30 at Sbisa Dining Hall.

Aggie Field of Honor
The Aggie Field of Honor in the new College Station municipal cemetery was dedicated July 17. The cemetery is located at 3800 Raymond Stotzer Parkway, on the northwest corner of FM 2818 and FM 60. About 20 acres of the 56-acre make up the Aggie Field of Honor. The City of College Station said the Aggie Field of Honor had been a vision of former students for 30 years.
