University System Board of Regents. Loftin's appointment was effective immediately and he assumed, on an interim basis, the position previously held by Dr. Elsa A. Murano, whose resignation the Board of Regents accepted on Monday June 15.

2009 Coach's Nights
Texas A&M head football coach Mike Sherman is planning a great season for the Aggies and he wants to tell you all about it. Make plans to join Coach Sherman, The Association of Former Students and the 12th Man Foundation at a local A&M Club's Coach's Night. Each Coach's Night includes not only Coach Sherman, but great dinners, silent auctions and Aggie camaraderie. All proceeds support the Clubs' scholarship funds. The 12th Man Foundation is now accepting ticket orders for fall Reunion season. Classes of '04, '94, '89, '84 and '79 have blocks set up for their Reunions. Those attending Class Reunions who wish to sit in their Class blocks must order tickets by July 16. Visit www.AggieNetwork.com/reunions for more details about ordering football tickets. The 12th Man Foundation is unable to issue refunds for purchased football tickets.
Career Resources For Aggies
Former students looking for assistance with their job search have several resources available to them through the Aggie Network. The Association of Former Students provides funding to the Texas A&M Career Center to assist former students in career transition. Services include resume review and networking advice. Students and the 12th Man Foundation invite you to join them Oct. 2 for The All Aggie Hullabaloo, including a free outdoor concert featuring Roger Creager '93, presented by Bud Light. Yell practice will follow the concert. Tentative starting time is 8 p.m. On Oct. 3, come watch the Corps march-in and then watch the Aggies BTHO of Arkansas in the first Southwest Classic. New Apartments Approved
A new 250-unit apartment complex for graduate students at Texas A&M was authorized in May by The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents. The $35.5 million complex is planned for construction in the current University Apartments area and would prompt the demolition of six existing on-campus apartment buildings that were erected in 1960. The proposed new three-story facilities are expected to be ready for move in fall 2010.
Aggie Field of Honor Dedication
The Aggie Field of Honor in the new College Station municipal cemetery will be dedicated at 9 a.m. July 17, with a ribbon-cutting, remarks by city and Texas A&M officials, presentations and more. The cemetery is located at 3800 Raymond Stotzer Parkway, on the northwest corner of FM 2818 and FM 60. About 20 acres of the 56-acre cemetery have been designated for the Aggie Field of Honor.
