Muster April 21
Aggies will gather April 21 in 300 locations around the globe to celebrate the unique Aggie Spirit and answer "here" for lost friends and classmates. More than 14,000 will gather in Reed

The Association, Texas A&M Announce 2010 Distinguished Alumni
Texas A&M University and The Association of Former
Students are proud to announce the recipients of the 2010 Distinguished Alumnus Award: Dudley J. Hughes '51 of Jackson, Miss.; Charles W. Soltis '55 of Houston; Dr. Fred A. Palmer '59 of Godley, Texas; Don H. Davis, Jr. '61 of  Sedona, Ariz.; and William H. "Bill" Flores '76 of Bryan, along with two posthumous recipients: Joe Utay, Class of 1908, and Robert L. Acklen, Jr. '63. The Distinguished Alumnus Award recognizes outstanding Aggies who have made significant contributions within their professions and communities, and significant contributions to Texas A&M. Largest Aggie Ring Day Ever
The Association of Former Students celebrated the largest Ring Day in the history of Texas A&M on April 16 with the delivery of 3,975 Aggie Rings. Throughout the day, about 10,000 students, parents and former students visited the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center. Click the headline to read more about the Aggie Ring.

Class Reunion Football Block Tickets Available
The 12th Man Foundation is now accepting ticket orders for fall Reunion season. The Classes of '05, '00, '90, '85, '80, '75 and '70 have blocks set up for their Reunions. Those attending Class Reunions who wish to sit in their Class blocks must place orders online, or over the phone by July 16. The Next Tradition
The Association of Former Students will host The Next Tradition graduation party May 13-15 at The Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center. Please join us before or after Commencement Convocation or on your graduation day! The Association invites all graduates, their family, and friends to stop by for door prizes. This is a great opportunity for new grads to learn about their next tradition—being a former student!

Make Memories To Last A Lifetime
Join the Traveling Aggies in 2010 for two historical, once-in-a-lifetime trips. The Lewis and Clark Discovery Tour is a modern-day reenactment of the exploration of the West. The expedition trip follows the steps of the legendary explorers from Fort Benton, Montana, on to the Missouri River. If it's WWII history that intrigues you, the Normandy to Berlin-Victory in Europe trip occurs on the 65th anniversary of the victory in Europe. Cancer Center To Honor Aggie Legends
Texas Children's Cancer Center's sixth annual 'An Evening with Texas Legends' will honor Texas A&M's legendary Junction Boys. Sportswriter Mickey Herskowitz will interview the Junction Boys during the Texas Legends fundraiser, set for April 27 at the Hilton Americas Houston. Commencement Set For May 13-15
Five commencement ceremonies are planned for May 14-15 in Reed Arena for May 2010 Texas A&M University graduates. A separate ceremony May 13 at Rudder Auditorium will award
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees. The commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. on May 15 will include the commissioning of 89 A&M cadets as officers into the U.S. armed forces, with each service branch conducting separate commissioning ceremonies over two days. Click the headline for more information on Texas A&M's spring commencement ceremonies, including parking information, overnight lodging and services for disabled guests, as well as information about the May 13 commencement convocation. Gen. David H. Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in the war against terrorism in the Middle East and Central Asia, will speak at convocation. Commencement for graduates of A&M's Galveston campus will be at 9 a.m. May 15 at the Moody Gardens Convention Center.

2010 Distinguished Achievement Awards
Texas A&M University and The Association of Former Students will present 24 faculty and staff members with the 2010 Distinguished Achievement Award on April 29. The award celebrates faculty and staff members who exhibit the highest standards of excellence at Texas A&M. Since its inception in 1955, the award has been presented to 882 professionals. Hawking Visits Texas A&M
Renowned physicist Stephen Hawking returned to Aggieland on April 5 to present a rare public lecture. Hawking, the world-renowned Cambridge University theoretical physicist famous for his theories on black holes and bestselling books about the universe, detailed more than 35 years of breakthrough research on black holes. Maroon Out Seeking Input On Shirt Design
Maroon Out needs the Aggie Network's help. For the first time in the tradition's 12 year history, the Maroon Out Committee is asking for design submissions for the Maroon Out 2010 T-shirt. About 48,000 Maroon Out shirts were sold last year, so your design has the potential to reach many Aggies! The deadline for former students to submit designs is May 5. Big Event
Big Event, the largest student-run one-day service project in the nation, celebrated 28 years this year. On March 27, 13,255 Aggies completed 1,428 jobs as a way to say "thank you" to the communities of Bryan and College Station for all of their support. Click the headline to read more.

Roast And Toast Gary Blair
Join Brazos Valley TROUPE as they "roast and toast" Texas A&M Women's Basketball Coach, Gary Blair, May 8 at the Brazos County Expo. The event starts at 6 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m. The event, including live and silent auctions, benefits the Brazos Valley TROUPE, "Aggieland's Ambassadors of the Arts."
